Food Security and Nutrition

Uganda's level of food insecurity is persistently high. The moderate and severe food insecurity indices, which assess food insecurity, were at extremely high levels of 48 and 11 percent, respectively, during the ninth round of the survey, which was performed in August 2022. Comparing this to Rounds 7 (October/November 2021) and 8 (June/July 2022), it is just somewhat less. Food insecurity was highest in the region's poorest eastern and northern regions. \Thus, KIWOD is collaborating with diverse communities to guarantee their food security. But to us, nutrition is just as important as food security. For this reason, we are trying to make sure that communities and farmers can get wholesome food. We make sure that wholesome foods are accessible, available, and used steadily.
