The Kakita Initiative for Women's Development (KIWOD) seeks to enhance the national initiatives now in place to advance the welfare of men and women in Uganda. At KIWOD, we believe that in order for humans to coexist with plants and other animals, sustainable agricultural methods such as organic farming, conservation agriculture, zero tillage, and agroecology principles are the best option. The three areas of sustainable agriculture that KIWODO upholds are sustainably ecological, economical, and social. We consistently follow these frameworks in all of our agricultural endeavors to ensure:
• Raise food systems' output, employment, and value addition.
• Preserve and improve the environment's resources.
• Enhance quality of life and encourage equitable economic growth.
• Increase ecosystems', communities', and individuals' resilience.
• Modify governance to meet emerging issues
